EV's suck

The EVs were obviously charging - which is when the risk of a battery fire is most critical. That's why I wouldn't want an EV charger inside the house/garage: if the car caught fire while charging (over night?) then the entire house burns down...

I was nearby and can confirm that it was the chargers that caught fire and spread to the vans. This was not a battery fire. Amazon needs to provide shade to protect chargers from the Texas heat.

only thing they can put out is the plastic, rubber etc.. the normal car part and try to keep other parts of the battery cold, the thermal runaway will run it course and die even putting burn battery pack into water will not kill the fire, it can keep other cell from going into thermal runaway, but legacy media calls that putting EV fire out.

Greatest Tuesday at the sea I ever spend. Everything and everyone was great. Very safe vessel 🚢 to fish 🎣 my two sons and two grandsons also had great time. We will definitely be back on it again. A few years ago I played World of Warships and got USS Texas to play. I did not know very much about the ship at the time and was really surprised that it was so blue. That game is *very* accurate with color schemes of historical ships and sure enough I see this vid and there is the blue just like in the game. Cool to see history come to life.

Does anyone know what camouflage measure (pattern/color) is being applied? She definitely is looking a lighter shade of very big and blue...

She give you an idea what the battleships of Pearl harbour looked like. So many picture them as grey, like post war battleships, when in truth many of them were the same blue as the Texas. I look forward to seeing her with her decking all fixed up. Should look sharp with the fresh blue.

She is a marvelous piece of machinery and a remembrance of a bygone era.

She’s going to be a new Dreadnought and she looks beautiful. I remember going her for the first time back 1975, I was 5 years old, between the Texas and the San Jacinto Monument I was in complete awe and could not have been prouder to be a Texan, still am at 53. Thanks and keep up the great work, she’s beautiful!

Poor Texas. Once a mighty force to be reckoned with now a rusting museam ship. I wish I had the funds to have the rust off of the hull. I hate seeing her looking like an abandoned play thing. But at least the fixed some things

Ive been looking forward to an update. I think ive said previously that i made a small donation and I have a piece of her Hull and a couple of coffee mugs. Ive read a lot about her service, the build and her struggles in retirement. Even tho Im Australian my grandkids are texan. How she manged to survive is a credit to her captains and all whonsailed in her. Looking forward to the next progress footage
